Finished filming the Darkness a few weeks ago and I am much over due for a new blog post of my experiences! The days were incredibly long, generally looking at a 12-16 hour day. That’s a day that does not leave much time for sleeping …or eating at times! So I’ve been sick for the last week from that ( totally worth it). It is a constant hurry up and wait battle! I got to work along side some amazingly talented people. Getting my hands into the SFX makeup was something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Horror films are defiantly the way to go in my opinion! There was something new to do and always new challenges to solve. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat… and hopefully will! Here are some pictures for you to look at. Some are promo stills from the movie and others have been taken on set! Hope you enjoy.

Exciting News!

Alright its official! I will be part of the makeup team for a feature film called ” The Darkness”! It’s a horror/supernatural movie set to come out this year. A quick synopsis on the movie… A teenage girl moves into a new home with her schoolmates as strange things begin happening when a supernatural doorway is opened allowing a demon to inhabit her body and enter our world bringing on the apocalypse. OoOoO creepy! I’m very excited to be apart of this project. It’s being produced by Matchbox Pictures (Check them out!! http://www.matchboxpictures.ca) More updates will follow throughout my adventure!

Mother’s Day Fashion in SUN Media

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and so is a mother’s day fashion spread showcasing my hair and makeup that can be found in the London Free Press and all Sun Media Productions! Hair and makeup is being kept light and simple for spring. Just a fresh face with nice coral tones on the eyes and a little gloss and you are good to go! You can find this fashion spread on May 2nd and in the London Free Press on May 4th ( if memory serves me correctly!).

Introducing Lisabella As Marilyn Monroe

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of doing hair, makeup AND photography for a wonderful photographer and friend Lisa Preece or as some might know her, Lisabella. I loved giving Lisa her makeover. It was amazing to see the transformation a little makeup can do. I saw my friend turn into this total vixen with in an hour, she was totally struttin’ her stuff! We went for a Marilyn Monroe feel in our photos since it’s been a dream of hers to do a shoot inspired by her. I set up in Lisa’s room completely surrounded by posters of Marilyn. Never a bad thing! It was an amazing experience and helped me to understand makeup even more by seeing it through the lens. For a first timer I think the pictures turned out really well.

Hello all! Thanks for taking the time to stop by my website! I’ve got my handy web guy to change the whole look of this website and finally make it pretty! ( Thanks Scott! ) I’ve added in this new blogging feature so i can keep you up to date with all the new photos and events happening! In the past couple of months i’ve had some interesting jobs! I did up 3 models for Rogers TV for a fashion segment in January. It was interesting to see how TV gets made. Let me just say its fast and generally spur of the moment! I have a new advertisement out in ” Your Style” Magazine. Its a new London based magazine for all your fashion needs! ohh and what else… I did a bridal show in the middle of January as well! It was my first show and it was a blast! It was at the Four Points here in London hosted by Divine Details. The show was a really good turn out and I hope to be back again next year! I did all the makeup for the fashion show they had. I had 16 models to whip off in 4 hours!!! It was a challenge but lots of fun as well!
